Recent scammers

DN67 - trying the "decline all trades" scam. People who do this will say things like "I delcined a spike (or headdress or anything else very valuable and rare) so that people will try to trade those things. But of course if you do, they will accept and run away. Just don't ever try and trade people who do this. They are always scammers.

twinklebunny17 - not a scammer as far as I know, but they called me a name (ie. bullied me) when I would not accept their unfair trade for one of my rares.

qwertyuiop12488 - attempting to trick people into thinking wall paint was glitched when it is not. The ones they had on trade are normal colors. And this is one of the reasons I have no interest in "glitched" items. Too many scammers use the ignorance of others to scam with normal items, claiming they are glitched.

goddessofgold101 - another "decline all trades" scammer. The problem with this particular trick is that in the end she very well may just send something you can buy in the store or win at the summer carnival. That is of course if she doesn't just accept the rares you try and trade and run away. Since I didn't actually see her scam anyone though, she gets a caution orange.

lovecat103 - and yet another "decline all trades" scammer. I think it's foolish to try and trade any rares to Jammers who do this but for now they get a caution orange as well.

turnupboy22 - this person was claiming they would give a spike (though they would not say if it was a spike collar or spike wristband) to anyone who flash traded them rares for six seconds or longer. They came out of a trade and suddenly disappeared so I can only assume they either accepted a trade and ran away or recognized me and went to scam on a different server.

oldsmellypuff - this Jammer was claiming to be giving a way a black long (I assume spike) at their den, but did not have a black long spike on trade and they ran away when I asked them to prove they had one. Usually how this scam goes is they ask people at their den to trust trade them rares, then accept a rare they like and immediately lock everyone out of their den.

loveseal248 - this person was asking for people's unwanted or unused member accounts. I'm on the verge of listing loveseal248 as a red alert scammer/hacker since this is how people end up getting hacked. NEVER share your password with anyone, even if you do not use that account anymore.

theabyss - this person was trying the "decline all trades" scam, claiming they would give an unused diamond card to whoever tried trading the best rares. This is an obvious scam and they are only trying to tempt people with an undoubtably fictional diamond card so they will trade their rares. Please block people who do this. If you let your greed make you believe them you will end up being scammed every time.

rooseveltroadrunner - they claimed to be going a give away for a Freedom horn helmet, but the one they had on trade was not a Freedom one, but one you can buy in stores. Derp.

  1. I know theabyss. What a nightmare! She calls herself a "nonmember rights agent", but in reality, she bullies members and tries to wipe out all members-only items by scamming, hoarding and then recycling them. And she told me she hacks members and disables their membership, but I don't think it's true. The point is that she's a bigger threat than you put here.

    1. She sounds horrible...
But one little thing, hoarding items is perfectly fine, I myself have hoarded some items before to make them rarer such as Reward Plaques and Glitched Yetis.

    2. I know, and I have nothing against casual hoarding, but she hoards them specifically for the purpose of destroying anything member-specific. She claims on her website (http://nmro.moonfruit.com/) that she is only against members who "discriminate against or bully" nonmembers, but to her that could be something as simple as buying a members-only item or animal. She's as extreme as PeTA and ten times as hateful.

    3. Hello its TheAbyss and stop lying about me! I have never scammed or hacked or hoarded anything! I want non-members to be treated more fairly, not to hurt members! I bet you just hate non-members and that's why you've been spreading mean lies about me! And that website wasn't even made by me even though I directed the ideas it was my best friend who typed and formatted it! Except she was tired of being treated like a mud pie by members so she quit AJ because of people like you! I am not PETA and I eat meat every day! So take down your comment or I will report you to AJHQ for spreading lies about innocent people who just want to make AJ a better place!

    4. You can't report someone in Animal Jam for something they did outside the game and thinking so is silly. I agree that non-members deserve more in the game and I have said so for years. Threatening people, however, is not the way to achieve your goal. Anyway, if you feel you have been falsely accused then we are going to need to see some proof that you didn't scam anyone. Also I need to point out that, regardless of how you feel about members and non-members, giving away pre-purchased codes, be they member code, diamond code, or epic plushie code etc is a violation of the Animal Jam Rules. Purchased codes are only supposed to be used by the individual who bought it.

Also your comment claiming I edited the photo was deleted and only casts you in a suspicious light. You got caught on camera. Deal with it.

    5. Hello its TheAbyss and I have never scammed! Except now that you made a post about it I was banned! I don't threaten people either so I don't even know where you got that idea! I still think you dislike non-members! Almost all the red listed "scammers" just so happen to be non-member! And a member who did the same thing as a non-member apparently did which was decline-all-trades got an orange listing while the non-member got a red listing! I was not caught on camera since there was nothing to catch because I have never scammed in my entire life! Maybe I got hacked and that explains all this, not that I would be able to tell if they changed my password or did anything since I am now banned! It would be the hacker to blame! Please stop being mean and accusing me of nothing!

    6. Your story is wildly inconsistent and you're a terrible liar. Since your story keeps changing it's obvious that you are guilty. Your red listing stands.

Your animal can still be searched in Animal Jam, so you haven't been banned. Yet another lie. I could care less if a scammer is a member or non-member, I report all who make Animal Jam an unsafe place. If you search the archives of this blog you will see that ANYONE I CATCH SCAMMING GETS LISTED HERE. Period.

    7. Hello its TheAbyss and stop it!! I am not lying! I got banned, when I try to play it says "This account is currently suspended and cannot login at this time"! I am crying in real life right now!! I did not scam at all! And I said that they got different ratings! Please I beg you I am crying and I might quit!!!!

      Delete
    8. I'd like to point out the reason so many are Non Member is because about two thirds of scammers use alts.

      Delete
    9. @theabyss - you got suspended, not banned. Suspensions are usually lifted in a day or two. Also, you were not hacked because if your password was changed by a hacker you would not have received that message. Instead it would have told you the password was wrong.

Don't offer to give away codes, because that is scamming. Don't scam, and you won't get reported again and therefore you won't be suspended. It's very simple.

Screaming and crying about it isn't going to change anyone's mind. You got caught scamming and are now trying to use emotional manipulation and lies to make people feel sorry for you because you're mad and don't want to take responsibility for your actions.

You are not convincing anyone, least of all me.

    10. @the Banana Bro - yes, that is exactly true. It's way too easy make a new non-member user to scam on and unfortunately many scammers know this and do it over and over again.

This is one of the reaons I really hate the "New Jammer" thing that hides usernames. It makes new alt accounts used for scamming impossible to list on this blog.

    11. Hello its TheAbyss and it is the same thing! Sorry for not being super fancy with words! And for the last time I never did offer to giveaway any codes! What you show in the picture is something I didn't even do! I don't know what happened!! I am crying so hard right now! I will probably quit AJ because of you!!!

      Delete
    12. The camera doesn't lie. You are literally denying photographic evidence of your guilt. You can say you're going to quit all you want but I know all you will do is go make a new account to scam on. This conversation is over.

    14. Hello it's TheAbyss and I would like to say sorry! I get unstable at times and do things I don't normally do! I do deserve punishment so don't take down the red list, but please don't really listen to what I said! Again I am sorry! I get like this sometimes (like when I made the website, and scammed and sent a rude Jam a Gram to someone) and I hate it so please understand that I am usually not a bad person! Thanks!!

    15. I very much appreciate you being honest now and acknowledging you are capable of doing bad things. That is very brave thing for you to do. I hope you can try to be a better Jammer from now on! Everyone has the capacity to do good things. The hard part is sticking with it everyday, especially when it seems many others around you give in to temptation and take the easy way out (such as doing bad things to get rares faster). I hope you stick with it so that your movement to get more rights and privileges for non-members is successful. I believe you will have more success if you work hard to do good things and not bully or lie to people. Good luck in the future!

    16. Some people talked about hoarding, I hoard red panda plushies, I have like a lot, probably over 30. I have an obsession e3e

      Delete
    17. Hoarding isn't scamming. Unless they got the things they collect by lying or cheating I don't see a problem with liking a certain type of item and wanting to own a lot of them.

      Delete
    18. I hoard items on a larger scale. There used to be 18 reward plaques, now there's about 10 and you can't win them.

      Delete
    19. Yeah I trade for my red pandys, and if I ever need to make a back-up I tihnk "hey why not" and get a red panda there, but basically I trade.

  2. trust-trading (or decline-trading) is very popular at the moment - probably more than flash-trading was a few years ago. i'm not surprised to see this many people trying it out.

as for glitched items, i think part of the issue is that animal jam has its own definition of "glitched". rather than simply being mis-coloured, overlapping the lines on the trading list, or otherwise bugged, to qualify as a glitched item it must have been removed from the stores while still non-glitched counterparts available. it's confusing, and unfortunately a lot of people take this to their advantage - for instance, i have seen many people claim that the ancient phantom wall (one variation's sprite goes out of the trading box) is worth a black long collar.

anyways, i'm glad that you're back to making scam-watch posts! c:

    1. No he didn't. He never said that anywhere on my blog. And I really don't appreciate waking up to 15 different messages from you in sitting in the moderation queue. Because that is SPAM and I delete most of them.

Also if you don't like other people being able to comment I suggest you do not come back to this blog and comment spam yourself. Just a suggestion.

    5. I got the idea from someone on AJ. They were roleplaying as a deer, and when a wolf pack attacked them, they said "is moments away from ending....until....." and then turned to an otter and Rickrolled them! It was hilarious.

    6. brilliant! i wonder who did that?...

...yeah, it was me. actually, the whole scene was planned between me (the deer/rick-astley-otter) and a few of my real-life friends (the wolf pack).

glad to see it entertained other people, though! c:

    1. I am guessing that at least 90% of the people who go in the chat box will be haters, rather than friends.... If people can get away with saying "I'm gonna break your spine" in Animal Jam which has a (somewhat illogical) chat filter, just imagine the things they'll say in a chat box with nothing to stop them....

  6. I believe in this: I am 100% sure I was bullied by Iamawolf7, Iamakoala1 and Iamakoala3! As usual, I am mostly NOT bullied but Iamawolf7 came in and bullied my younger sister when it was her birthday! I really need those 3 bullies banned

I think that it was glitched because it's hanging off the edge of the trade thing, not the colors. So I honestly don't think that should be marked as scam, maybe caution orange?

    1. No. Too many dishonest jammers use so called "glitched" items to lie and trick others out of actual rares. The red listing stands.

  10. i strongly dislike the "beta party" and am considering petitioning for its removal.

as a former beta-tester, i really did love the old community (sans the glitches).

but the items sold at the beta party are constantly being used to rip off well-intentioned but naive jammers who were duped into thinking they are real betas. it's ridiculous.

to clarify: an item is not "beta" if it was sold anytime after august (possibly september, depending on the specific item) of 2010.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Also, if it says "Beta ____", it is most likely not beta

      Delete
    2. very true. no items in the beta stage were ever called "beta [item]", with the exception of a few adventure-beta prizes (given as rewards to the testers).

      Delete
    3. also, small correction to my previous comment: the game's beta testing actually began on 7 july, and ended on 9 september of 2010. my point was that some items, while technically released just after beta testing, are still considered betas (e.g., founder's hat).

  11. The painting on the trade list was mustard-yellow! Mustard-yellow use to be red-ketchup paint! But when the red paint items came to Jamaa, peole used those as blood for crime scenes in their den! So then, the red paint changed into yellow paint! Thats why it isn't glitched.
