Very overwehlmed and very depressed right now

Just found out someone on my buddylist is a huge scammer. I feel like a fool. Report 1000pickles12 for scamming. See here if you don't believe me. (ETA: If you're going to make an anti-scamming video DO NOT NAME IT "How to scam.")

So many scammers. I seriously can't keep up with them all, even just screen capping. I am very quickly being reminded over the last few days why I quit scammer hunting. It's too much for one person to handle and I make absolutely no difference in the end anyway.

It's all just pointless...

  2. Well, he told me he was a scammer catcher and offered to give me a membership account with rares on it... I should have suspected him right then but honestly... I just thought he was a fan trying to be nice. Regardless, I refused the membership account (I will never accept one from strangers) and I removed him as a buddy as soon as I found his videos.

  3. I would like to say two things. First, I am not defending him, but it's just a theory. He claimed to be a scam catcher, what if that video was a trap to find scammers? (Of course I wasn't there, so this could very well make no sense)
Second, here's why I do scam catching. The main age range for AJ is where Children are learning there morals, the moral they will take through life, and make all there choices based on. Being posted to the public as a scammer is sort of a punishment, and being caught shows that this behavior is NOT acceptable. Let's say they kept scamming on AJ, and thought stealing was ok. So, when they're older, they try to rob a store. If this is a violent roberry, then, theoretically, scam catching can save lives potentially in the long run.

  4. First, you ARE defending him, and it's not making you look good or endearing you to me in anyway. Second, most kids know before the can use a computer or smartphone that stealing is wrong. Children are not stupid and know they can get away with it on Animal Jam because of the anonymity it provides, though I doubt any would actually try it in real life. Also, he's been caught, he literally caught himself for me. I have zero tolerance for scammers, ZERO. There is no debate here. He tried to offer me a member account with rares (which he would obviously change the password on later and steal anything I had put on that account - which is why you NEVER ACCEPT A MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT FROM STRNGERS!) and there's video proof of his guilt. He is guilty. The camera doesn't lie. If you insist on continuing to defend him in any way shape or form then please unbuddy me right away.

    1. I honestly appologize for making that comment, as I did not even watch the video before making it.

  5. Did you see the end of the video? He gave the other person their items back.

  6. That's terrible- I'm sorry. I love your Pizza tiger, though. I Jam-A-Grammed you about that :P
Actually, in all honesty I think it DID make a difference- if not much, but it DID. You created more awareness of scam catching than anyone else, and I didn't know a single person in the AJ Blog/Website community that didn't know your name.
